Mostly I employ methods of genetics, functional genomics, agrigenomics, physiological analyses and bioinformatics in examination the role and mechanism of action of certain genes in plants response to enzymes involved in brassinosteroid (BR) biosynthesis and signaling in barley. Functional analysis of these genes is performed through isolation and characterization of barley mutants defective in the brassinosteroid metabolism and showing reduced plant height. Physiological reaction of the semi-dwarf barley BR mutants, deficient in the brassinosteroid biosynthesis or signaling, to drought stress and other environmental stresses is also analyzed.
